Today our youth group talked about how they are the “seeds of change”. 🍚 We made seed energy balls. The seeds represented our values- honesty, respect, and humility held together by our church and family (honey and peanut butter). Our kids are our seeds of change. As they spend time throughout this summer in different places and spaces we’ll continue to remind them to scatter God's word. Pre-K Children and Families: Our experienced nursery leader, Ms. Ruth, will be waiting for our youngest parishioners in the nursery, where they will find an engaging environment for music and play! Of course, our littlest ones are always welcome in the service as well. Please don't forget to sign in and out! During the months of June, July, and August our youth will be coming together during church in one group. We'll be focusing on our growth with the Lord through outdoor activities, art and play! We will take a break from the Crucifer and Acolyte schedule to enjoy a more free flowing routine. Pre-K Children and Families: Our experienced nursery leader, Ms. Ruth, will be waiting for our youngest parishioners in the nursery, where they will find an engaging environment for music and play! Youth: Kinder and Up: With lots of trips planned, adventures scheduled, and bags packed let's still make time to hold fellowship at Good Shepherd. This week we'll be honoring the Holy Trinity remembering that wherever we go The Spirit is with us. Come make a postcard and a prayer band during church!
Today was the final Double Nickels luncheon for those 55 & Up! until September. The terrific volunteers who put these luncheons together deserve a standing ovation. Thank you, left to right: Jane. There's something NEW at the Wednesday evening Community BBQ at Good Shepherd. We're offering kids' games (know anyone who likes corn hole?) and making ice cream in a bag. So don't forget to come and bring the kids. Its at 6:00pm at the Good Shepherd BBQ under the oaks. Bring meat to BBQ, a dish to share like a side dish or dessert, your beverage and things like plates, forks/knives, glasses, etc. Most of all, please bring your smiles. Share a wonderful evening with ALL the neighbors! Nicole Oertel, the Youth Director, will be there to organize the games! This is going to be fun. Hope to see you there!

It is Pentecost! Our church is here to bring us together and allow us to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. A celebration and reminder that The Spirit is always with us! Come to church dressed in red to honor this special day! On Sunday we will celebrate this special occasion by using our own artistic talents to create "fire" and learn of the church's birthday. Youth Group (5th-9th Grade): Youth Group will remain in service to celebrate Pentecost with the congregation.
A wonderful celebration of Sandy French as she retires as Director of Good Shepherd's wonderful preschool. We can't thank her enough for her dedication to making the preschool a place children, teachers and parents all love. Thank you, thank you. And, thank you to Kristy Nunes, Ana Seid, Amy Tomasi, Anne Albano and Alice Knapp for the beautiful coffee hour fete!

Let's spend this week looking at those leaders within our church that support Youth Ministry. A special thank you to Mandy Allen, Al Scott, Michelle Johnson, Tracy Shelby and Jenn Kato for all you do leading Sunday School! Plus this week we will be celebrating Sandy French's retirement from the preschool. So many amazing church members dedicated to our youth! Pre-K Children and Families: Our experienced nursery leader, Ms. Ruth, will be waiting for our youngest parishioners in the nursery, where they will find an engaging environment for music and play! Of course, our littlest ones are always welcome in the service as well. Please don't forget to sign in and out! Children's Chapel (K-4th Grade): Prison, Earthquakes, and Baptisms oh my! What is going on this week with Paul and Silas? We'll find out plus get some wiggles out! Youth Group (5th-9th Grade): Youth Group will be working alongside Jenn Kato and Ana Seid this week to prepare for Sandy's retirement party! There will be food and activities for the kids! Join the celebration in the Parish Hall after service! Don't forget, we are one week away from Pentecost!

June 1 bishop election to be streamed online "Delegates, alternates, and friends of the Diocese of El Camino Real will gather on Saturday, June 1, to elect the fourth bishop of the diocese. The convention will be streamed live for those who wish to follow the events online. Visit the livestream webpage (https://www.realepiscopal.org/live-stream-electing-convention-2019/), or go directly to the diocesan YouTube page (https://www.realepiscopal.org/live-stream-electing-convention-2019/), "Registration begins at 8:30 am and is open to all members of El Camino Real: delegates, alternates, and visitors. The Electing Convention will be held in St. Andrew’s sanctuary and attendees should be seated at 9:15 am. The convention itself will begin sharply at 9:30 am with announcements and a Eucharist service. Following the Gospel reading, alternates and visitors will be excused to leave the church and move to The Center, located nearby on the St. Andrew’s campus where the voting will be streamed online. Following the final election, the service will resume for all with communion stations."
